Jennifer
has always enjoyed being creative just like her mom.
She always knew as a child she wanted to be a teacher. She
majored in Elementary Education and loved her career in
teaching. She and her husband are blessed with two young
children. As her life continued to stay busy as a working
mom, she eventually decided to attend graduate school to
pursue a degree in Educational Leadership. She is currently
the Director of an Early Childhood program and began to get
some creative ideas for what these little toddlers should be
wearing.
As her
career in education continues on, she is beginning to tap
into a love for funky and stylish fabrics. What a great way
to combine her career and love for fabric than to combine
the two by designing children’s clothing. Oh, and did we
forget to mention that the sewing part just happened about
few months ago!
Jennifer’s sister, Emily,
too, has two young children and just began sharing a love
for sewing as well. Their extremely creative mother taught
the two to sew. As a child, Emily was called EmmyDoodle.
Hence, it was a perfect name for the business. Together,
the two decided on
emmydoodles
and
emmydoodlestoo.
Jennifer wanted to create clothing for her two-year-old and
Emily decided she would create doodles for babies.
Together, the sisters both began their own small businesses
while juggling careers and family.
emmydoodlestoo
has the cutest
fit to be tied dresses
that are comfortable and
versatile.
Jennifer has also added
skirts to her line of clothing.
